Mr. Nguyen Duc Than chairs the Firm as a registered patent attorney. Mr. Than’s area practice includes all aspect of intellectual property law from registration, transfer to opposition, appeals and litigation including patent, industrial design, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition, anti-piracy programs. Mr. Than has a great depth of knowledge and experience at the cutting edge of innovation and technology. Mr. Than has been also heavily involved in enforcement actions. Mr. Than obtained Bachelor of Science degree in mechanics from the Hanoi Polytechnic Institute in 1959 and the same from Romania in 1960. Mr. Than has been forty years of experience in this.

Prior to entering Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, he was with the National Office of Industrial Property of Vietnam (NOIP) as General Deputy Director and Acting General Director for twelve years when it was still the National Office of Invention in 1976. He was also Vice-Chairman of the Diplomatic Conference for the Conclusion of the Madrid Protocol held in Madrid in 1989. Mr. Than has ever been a superior counselor for many intellectual property law firms. His working languages are Vietnamese, English and French.

Mr. Than is one of very few people who designed the first writing legal on the Intellectual Property Matters of Vietnam. Also, he is the first specialist in the intellectual property field with the NOIP from its foundation date.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Thanh is the Managing Partner of the Firm and also a registered patent attorney of the Firm. Mr. Thanh’s practice areas include the patent and trademark prosecution and litigation. Mr. Thanh is actively involved in all aspects of client counseling involving technology evaluations, development of patent portfolios, technology positing, and technology analysis. Mr. Thanh has a technical background in mechanics, physics, semiconductor, and materials science. He also has extensive experience in the areas of negotiating, drafting and prosecuting the technology transfer agreement. Mr. Thanh’s experience also includes monitoring and enforcing intellectual property rights including the patent and trademark infringement.

Prior to joining Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, Mr. Thanh was a Senior Consultant with his position of team leader with a private consulting firm where he was involved in various national project design, supervised document analysis.

Mr. Thanh received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 from the Military Academy of Technologies. Mr. Thanh is fluent in Vietnamese, English and Russia. Mr. Thanh is admitted to practice before the NOIP.

Mr. To Xuan Tuyen is a registered patent attorney of the Firm. Mr. Tuyen’s practice areas include preparation and prosecution patent of application and litigation. He is experienced in physics, semiconductor, mechanical and chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry and biotechnology fields. Mr. Tuyen also drafts and advises clients on software license, patent licenses and transfers.
Before joining Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, Mr. Tuyen was a patent examiner of the NOIP and holds a position as Head of NOIP Patent Division since 1976 when it named the National Office of Invention. Mr. Tuyen is also one among very few specialists in the intellectual property field with the NOIP from its foundation date.

Mr. Tuyen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics Engineering in 1976 from the University of Bulgaria. He also received Diploma of Industrial Property Law in Moscow Institute of Industrial Property Law, Russia in 1980. Mr. Tuyen is fluent in Vietnamese, English, Russia and Bulgaria. Mr. Tuyen is admitted to practice before the NOIP.

Mr. Ho Vinh Thinh is a registered patent attorney and also as a Senior Partner of the Firm. Mr. Thinh’s practice areas include all aspects of intellectual property law. Mr. Thinh is experienced in preparation and prosecution of patent, trademark, industrial design applications, providing advice and managing trademarks portfolios as well as litigation, both criminal and civil. His experiences also include drafting the specification, filing and prosecution of patent and advice clients on trade secret, unfair competition and anti-piracy program. Mr. Thinh has extensive experience in drafting, negotiation and registration of licensing and assignment agreement.
Prior to joining Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, Mr. Thinh was at Hanoi trademark agent as an Executive Manager for 5 years. While at this firm, Mr. Thinh handled successfully hundreds of trademark, industrial design, copyrights cases including the opposition, appeal and infringement actions.
Mr. Thinh received a Master of Laws degree in 2003 from the Hanoi National University, a Bachelor of Laws degree in May 1996 from the Hanoi Law University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1999 from the Hanoi Open University. He also completed the Training Course on Intellectual Property Law in 2001, and a professional course in drafting patent specification for Patent Experts in 2006 in Japan. Mr. Thinh is fluent in Vietnamese, English and French.
Mr. Thinh is a member of INTA and AIPPI.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Xuan a registered patent attorney and also as a Senior Partner of the Firm. Mr. Xuan’s practice areas include registration, litigation and enforcement of trademark, industrial design, copyright, trade secret and unfair competition. Mr. Xuan also focuses on cases involving patent and trademark licensing. In addition, he has experience in conducting the investigation to identify the infringement and obtain evidences of infringement as well as planning market surveys and pro-active report on IP infringement.
Mr. Xuan had been graduated from College of Diplomacy since 1992. He has also received a Bachelor of Laws from the Hanoi Law University. In 2001 Mr. Xuan awarded an academic diploma by WIPO on Intellectual Property. In 2002 he completed a Training Course on Intellectual Property Law in Japan.

Mr. Xuan had worked at other IP Laws firms as a trademark attorney for more than 7 years before joining Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants. During his time with previous firms, Mr. Nguyen was involved in trademark infringement cases, opposition and appellation procedures.
Mr. Xuan is proficient in Vietnamese, English.
Mr. Xuan is a member of INTA, AIPPI and Hanoi Bar Association.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Quy is a registered patent attorney of the Firm. She is familiar with intellectual property issues and is experienced, in particular, in patent matter.
Prior to joining Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, Dr. Quy was at Hanoi University of Science as the Head Professor of the Department of Cytology, Histology, Embryology and Biophysics. In the firm’s record, she handled successfully hundreds of patent cases. She has obtained Doctor of Biology degree in Vietnam in 1995, and a Post Doctor Certificate in Korea in 2001. She was brevetted as a Professor in 2003. She is also a senior member of the Vietnam Cancer Association and the Biology Teaching Association. She has broad experience in biophysics as well as cytology and has been conducting a lot of science projects on cancer and cytology.

Dr. Quy is fluent in Vietnamese, Russian, and English.

Dr. Quy is admitted to practice before the NOIP.

Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hoi is a registered patent attorney of the Firm. Dr. Hoi’s practice areas include the preparation and prosecution of the patent application in the field of state-of-art engineering building construction technology.
Prior to joining Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, Dr. Hoi was dean of the Research an Application of Building Technics at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
Dr. Hoi obtained a Doctor of Science degree in Russia in 1980 and was brevetted as a Professor in 2001.

Dr. Hoi is fluent in Vietnamese, English and Russia. Dr. Hoi is admitted to practice before the NOIP.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang is a registered patent attorney of the Firm and is our Partner of the Firm. Mr. Hoang’s practice areas include the preparation and prosecution of the patent application. Mr. Hoang is experienced in working with specialty mechanics, information & technology, computer software and economist. Besides, Mr. Hoang is also involved in litigation work concerning the patent infringement.
Mr. Hoang obtained a Master of Science degree in Economics System and Engineering Management in 2002 from the University of Applied Sciences in Germany and a Master of Arts degree in Computer Engineering in 2000 from the Computer Business University in United States of America. Mr. Hoang also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 from Hanoi Polytechnic Institute and Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Business Administration in 1998 from the Hanoi National Economics University in 2000.
Before entering Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, Mr. Hoang was with a foreign company specialized in manufacturing and assembling motorcycle as a technical engineer since 1993 to 1996, then was with a Hanoi intellectual property agent as a patent attorney until 1999 where he handled various patent applications in fields of state-of-art technology.
Mr. Hoang is fluent in Vietnamese, English and Germany. Mr. Hoang is admitted to practice before the NOIP.

Mr. Kieu Trang Hoai Nam is our registered patent attorney of the Firm. He is also a barrister-at-law. His main practice areas are trademark prosecution including the watching and monitoring the trademark portfolios of clients.
Mr. Nam received a Bachelor of Laws from the Hanoi Law University in 2002. He is fluent in Vietnamese and English.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh is our technical patent staff of the Firm. His main specialties are biotechnology and biochemistry. He handles patents in organic chemistry, genetic engineering bioprocess engineering, biochemistry and pharmaceutical engineering.
Mr. Binh has a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the Hanoi University of Science in 2007 where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. He also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2006 from University of Foreign Studies. He is fluent in Vietnamese and English.

Mr. Trinh Quoc Trung is our technical patent staff of the Firm. His main specialties are machine engineering. Mr. Trung handles patents and designs
Mr. Trung received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Hanoi Polytechnic Institute in 2005. He has good command of Vietnamese and English.

Ms. Cao Thu Phuong is our trademark attorney of the Firm. Her main practice areas are trademark prosecution. She has also specialized in drafting, negotiation and registration of licensing and assignment agreement relating to intellectual property rights.
Ms. Phuong received a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2006 from the Hanoi National University.
She is fluent in Vietnamese and English.
